Blog:

Dear friends,
We had spent a very nice time in our cruise in #Nile River with unknown people from different countries, who eventually became friends. They all loved to take Sunbath on the deck of the cruise with minimum mandatory clothes. This reminded me of #Goa sea beach scenes. They all loved swimming in the pool. They all loved to watch Sunrise every morning. They loved to drink in bar and also they loved to dance on floor. In short, they were enjoying thoroughly.

I learnt that most of them were from middle class families doing jobs and many were old people receiving pension. Yet most of them had seen many countries of the world. India was known to them as the country of 'Tajmahal at #Agra'. They believed in spending money and not saving it in banks.
We too joined them on the deck and enjoyed the Sunbath, however, with well dressed clothing. The view of sugarcane fields from the cruise was lovely. Moreover, I enjoyed swimming with others in the pool, with due caution.
One interesting thing had happened on the deck of the #cruise. Small boats came close to our big ship and threw a long rope on side of our cruise and joined with our ship. Then it was sailing along with our big ship. Thereafter, the the people on the boat turned salesmen and started displaying their articles like carpet, table-cloth, bedsheet etc. for sale. One of the cruise passenger took avid interest in buying a carpet. Once finalized, the salesman put the carpet in a basket and threw it towards the customer. She caught the basket and then saw the carpet from close and liked it. It was followed by a quick bargaining and then money was sent to the boat in the same basket. We came to know that our fellow cruise passenger had bargained and purchased the floor mat of 500 Egyptian Pounds at 400 Egyptian Pounds. My wife told me that we purchased a similar product yesterday in the market at just 120 Egyptian Pounds. Before she revealed our buying price, I jumped into the conversation and said that we bought it at 420 Egyptian Pounds. Our fellow cruise passenger was delighted to learn that she had purchased the carpet little cheaper than us. My small lie made her happy.

Another interesting thing that we saw in our cruise journey was the "Crocodile #Museum." I had read about it and so I was curious to see it.

There is a Crocodile Museum located near the Kom Ombo temple where twenty two crocodile mummies are on public display. There are also crocodile eggs, wooden sarcophagi and crocodile foetuses to be viewed.
#Sobek was an ancient Egyptian deity. The statues of Sobek bear a human body and the head of a crocodile. The crocodile was worshiped through Sobek. He was the God of water who fertilized soil.
After #Aswan Dam was constructed in #Egypt, crocodiles were shifted to the dam water.
Here I conclude my writing for today. See you again tomorrow with something more exciting.
Have a nice time friends.
