Egypt Day-3

(Cruise in River Nile)
Dear friends,
As we all know that Nile and Amazon are two longest and largest rivers of the world. Nile is a holy river of #Egypt. One of the World's oldest civilization has developed on the banks of this river. Many old temples and monuments exist on either side of Nile River. With developement of Aswan Dam, the river has revolutionized economy of the country. 'Cruise' business has developed and its journey has become one major attraction for tourists visiting Egypt. There are about 300 small and big cruise ships operating in #Nile River.
The cruise ships are of many sizes and capacities. Bigger ships have good infrastructure and pleasant interiors with large rooms, washrooms, furniture and carpet. Five star deluxe cruise is usually four storey with swimming pool, many sunbath chairs, bar and restaurant at roof deck, dance floor, gaming zone etc. It is a miniature version of Titanic or Star Cruise but still very delightful. We had traveled in Star Cruise during our Singapore trip.

Medium size 'night cruise' for 3-4 hours showing 'Belly Dance' with dinner are available at Cairo only. We might visit one of those on our arrival back to #Cairo.
The cruise journey is usually for 3N4D, however, it ranges from one day to a seven days trip. Most of the cruises operate between Aswan and #Luxor. The first day is not for sailing in river. It usually departs in afternoon next day. The reason is that a beautiful attraction of 'Abu Simble' is located about 4 hours by road from the starting point (i.e. #Aswan). People stay in cruise and visit this temple early morning next day. Then the cruise starts sailing in the afternoon.
The charges for 3N4D journey costs 27000 to 62000 depending upon the type of cruise selected.
All cruise ships have fix day and time of departure from their starting point. Thus if you have a choice of a particular cruise, you have to plan your arrival accordingly.
We had embarked our 5 Star cruise "Princess Sarah" at Aswan. This ship was going to remain here till next day afternoon 3pm.
We occupied our comfortable room and then moved about in cruise and spent time watching Nile River and other ships and buildings on the river bank.
We had a beautiful time in dinner hall where birthday celebration of one Romanian 63 years old gentleman was going on. We both also joined the dance and enjoyed.
We slept early as next was very early morning visit to Abu Simble.
Have a nice time friends.
